Another benefit of buying your mattress at Mattress Warehouse is the fact that Mattress Warehouse does not sell "S" brand products. The reason for this is because all the major "S" brand products get over 90% of their components from a major components supplier called Leggett and Platt. (NYSE L&P) Leggett and Platt produces virtually every type of spring unit, foam, and covering material through their various subsidiaries. All the factories do is stack these parts up, assemble them, and put their label on them. As a result of that, Mattress Warehouse and Darrell the Mattress Guy can easily compare these parts and save you hundreds of dollars by cuttting out multi-million dollar advertising campaigns. With non - "S" brand products, you'll get the same or better quality components, and always a better price! The best bed for the best price - that's our guarantee to you!

The Competition: Beware of seller's on discount sites such as Craigslist and the like. The reason for this, is many of these seller's are actually factory reps that gain access to warranty claim products they rebag and re-sell on these sites. Also, it's a fact, national name brand companies like Simmons, Serta, Sealy and Tempurpedic DO NOT SELL TO GUYS IN STORAGE SHEDS. Anyone making claims to have product of this nature is NOT an authorized dealer. Generally speaking, inspection of the LAW TAG will prove the date of production of the bed. NO LAW TAG - DON'T BUY IT! Another problem imposed by unscrupulous dealers is actually attaching a "Secondhand" tag up at the law tag area and telling you that's there because "it's a floor model." This is simply not true, because floor models have never been delivered. Beware the scam artists!

Now - a word about body impressions - please read!

There are legitimate concerns about body impressions in the mattress industry. One of the primary reasons Mattress Warehouse and Darrell the Mattress Guy don't sell "S" brand bedding is due to some unknown practices of "S" brand manufacturers. Since these big names run multi-million dollar advertising campaigns, they've been forced to use lower quality components in their products. With ever-increasing competition, this has also forced them to put more and more of these cheap materials in their pillowtops. One of these things is COTTON. As an insulator right above your spring unit, cotton serves these "S" brand companies by cheaply insulating the foam from going down in the spring unit. Many big, fat mattresses have a substantial cotton layer as thick as 2" in them. This greatly puffs up the bed's appearance, and also makes it more prone to absorb moisture from the human body. Raw cotton lumps and clumps quite easily with moisture added. The reality is with these companies, their CEO's, and management payroll structure is HUGE and as a result of these costs, they also have trended towards cheaper spring units, and less dense foam. This practice has burned a lot of people in the market. A good example of this is what is called a sinuous or continuous coil unit. If you look down the side of the springs, there's only two turns to the spring unit. These types of mattresses are readily available at bulk discount big box stores, and show high coil counts, but don't disclose the fact they only have half as many turns in the springs. Another thing they do is cheapen down the thickness of the springs. This is called the gauge of wire.

At Mattress Warehouse with Darrell the Mattress Guy, years of experience have went into comparing these specs, and the reality is, the national "S" brand products simply don't do anything to realistically differentiate their products significantly. Most of the time in-fact, an accurate comparison will show their specs are quite inferior. With big advertising and huge overhead, that's just the way business goes. This is why Mattress Warehouse and Darrell the Mattress Guy post all specs to all products carried, and will always be glad to refer you to the spec sheet for any product you have interest in. We challenge you to accurately compare the specs of the products you're considering, so you'll quickly see - at Mattress Warehouse with Darrell the Mattress Guy you always get the best bed for the best price!

Limited Warranty
This promise is backed by our commitment to continually improve our products and services through the application of a quality management system, as guide lined by the ISO (International Standards Organization) quality management principles.

Any fabric protector additive applied after manufacture nullifies this warranty.
  • Used bedding or bedding sold "as is"
  • Transportation or inspection costs.
  • Mattress or foundation ticking, stitching pulling loose after 4 months of purchase, or cloth handles.
  • Corsicana reserves the right to substitute materials or models of comparable quality, and does not guarantee that the fabric of the replacement piece will match.
  • Only the faulty item will be exchanged in the sleep set. Replacement of one piece does not automatically constitute the replacement of the other piece.
  • Bed height and sheet fit. (Deeper & plusher mattresses may require an extra deep fitted sheet.)
  • Mattress or foundation damages due to abuse (bent border wire; jumping on; walking on or bending the product).
  • When product identification labels have been removed.
  • Comfort or firmness preference, or suitability for any person's specific medical condition.
  • Mattress damage due to an inappropriate foundation being used. A mattress is designed for full performance when used in conjunction with its matching foundation as part of a full sleep set.
  • Corsicana reserves the right to refuse services when upon inspection, the product is found to be dirty, stained, burnt, soiled, infested with insects or in an unsanitary condition.
  • When product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship and materials.
  • If product has been altered structurally or in any way by the consumer or other parties.
  • The decision to repair or replace will be at the sole discretion of Corsicana.
  • Damage caused by continual use of an electric blanket, as the high temperature will cause the fillings and fibers in the upholstery layers to compress or flatten.
  • A fabric protection agent applied after manufacture of the mattress.
  • When product identification labels have been removed this immediately invalidates the warranty.
Normal body impressions of 4cm (2.0), or upholstery compaction, are normal. Comfort layers settle and conform to your personal sleeping position - this is not a fault and should be compared to leather shoes stretching in some places.

Proper care and maintenance of your mattress will result in many years of trouble-free use.

Body impressions, up to 4cm (2.0) are a perfectly normal occurrence in your Corsicana mattress and should not be confused with sagging. The layers of upholstery are designed to compress with use. However, the area where body weight is concentrated will compress first, while the areas not lain on will remain uncompressed. These are more noticeable in the morning, as they have been in use during the night, indicating settling and conforming of the layers to your individual body contours. Body impression is not a structural defect and should not be confused with sagging.

To greatly extend the life of your mattress, rotate head to foot approximately once monthly to even wear patterns and greatly reduce body impressions. It typically takes about 30 days for new mattress upholstery to settle. All new mattress purchasers should also note that human tissues surrounding the spinal column typically take time to adjust to a new mattress. Proper spinal alignment can actually be uncomfortable during this transition period, and patience should be exercised when sleeping on a new mattress set for the initial readjustment period.
